RPM Acquires Wall System Fabrication Company

RPM International Inc., parent company of specialty coatings and sealants brands including Carboline and Tremco, announced on Tuesday (Oct. 2) that it has acquired the wall system fabrication segment of NOW Specialties, LLC.

Now a part of the Tremco Construction Products Group, the release explains that the Texas-based business is a wall system fabricator specializing in metal composite material and aluminum composite material panels.

The wall systems are reportedly manufactured offsite before being installed at the building location. RPM explains that this offers customers efficiency during construction when compared to traditional methods.

According to the release, the acquired wall systems are compatible with Tremco CPG’s building envelope systems.

“Panelized facade systems and other forms of offsite panelized construction are a rapidly growing segment within the construction industry and a key strategic focus for Tremco CPG,” stated Frank C. Sullivan, RPM chairman and CEO.

“This acquisition will strengthen Tremco CPG’s value proposition of providing customers with compatible building envelope solutions that improve efficiency, extend building life and provide customized aesthetics.”

The segment has reported annual net sales of approximately $20 million. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Additionally, NOW’s installation business was not part of the acquisition, RPM notes.
