Bidding Open for WI Jail Reno Project
Dane County in Wisconsin is soliciting bids for renovations and a building addition to the county’s jail facility.
The submittal date for this project is Nov. 14.
Scope of Work
This project involves painting and renovations to the county’s Public Safety Building located in Madison, Wisconsin. The project also includes a South Tower addition.
Exterior work involves application of a three-coat latex and urethane system on ferrous and galvanized metal substrates. A three-coat epoxy and polyurethane system will be applied to specified metal bollards.
Interior work is scheduled to include application of three-coat block filler and epoxy system on concrete and masonry units. A three-coat latex and epoxy system is required on gypsum wallboard surfaces. Specified concrete and masonry units will receive a three-coat block filler and latex lsystem. A three-coat latex system will be applied to specified gypsum board surfaces. A three-coat latex and alkyd system is required on ferrous and galvanized metal surfaces.
Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 5/NACE No. 1), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE No. 4), Pickling (SSPC-SP 8) and Surface Preparation of Concrete (SSPC-SP 13/NACE No. 6).
Owner-specified manufacturers for this project include Benjamin Moore & Co., Coronado Paint, Diamond Vogel, Glidden, Hallman/Lindsay, Mautz Paint Company, PPG Paints, Pratt & Lambert and Sherwin-Williams.
