Bidding Open for NY Library Rehab Project
The City of New York is soliciting bids for the rehabilitation of a library building in Brooklyn, New York.
The submittal date for this project is Feb. 21.
Scope of Work
This project involves painting and renovations to the Mapleton Library, a branch of the Brooklyn Public Library in Brooklyn, New York.
Exterior work involves application of a three-coat alkyd stystem on steel and iron substrates.
Interior work is scheduled to include application of a three-coat latex system on concrete, gypsum board and plaster surfaces. A four-coat system of block filler and latex will be required on concrete masonry units.
Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3) and Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3).
The owner-specified manufacturers for this project are Benjamin Moore & Co., PPG Paints, Sherwin-Williams or an approved equal.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Feb. 3 at the project site.
