NLB Opens New UK Branch Expansion

Last month, high-pressure waterjetting equipment and accessories manufacturer NLB Corporation announced it has opened a new dedicated branch facility in the United Kingdom to serve its customers across Europe.

According to NLB, the facility includes a fleet of pump units for hire or purchase, with accessories for a range of jobs and factory-trained technicians for customer support.

About the Branch

Located in Darlington, the facility features close to 2,000 square meters (just over 21,500 square feet) of workshop, office and yard space. The company reports that it will house a range of NLB pump units for sale or rental, an increased inventory of accessories and spare parts, as well as room to conduct water jet demonstrations and customer training sessions.

The new location also reportedly includes large roll-up garage doors, providing easy access for customers to bring units in for service support.

NLB says that the move from a shared location to a dedicated facility with more space and increased staff is expected to help them respond more quickly to European demand for water jetting equipment. It will also reduce service times and give customers’ personnel access to U.K.-based training.

“This is a really exciting time for NLB in its international expansion plan,” said David Beckington, V.P. of International Sales. “It reaffirms NLB’s commitment to supporting customers both new and old in the U.K. and across Europe.”

The service center is also anticipated to be the European hub for supporting the company’s growing influence in the Aquaculture industry. On-hand inventory and specifically trained technicians is “vital” in the market, NLB reports.

According to the release, NLB built and opened a new full-service facility in Wixom, Michigan, in 2021 after outgrowing its former Wixom facility that housed the company for over 50 years. The new NLB branch is the company’s newest beyond North America.
