Contractors Needed for OK Water Tank Rehab

The City of Sand Springs in Oklahoma is currently seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of a 500,000-gallon welded pedesphere elevated water storage tank.

Bids are due Jan. 10, 2023.

Scope of Work

This project involves the rehabilitation of a 500,000-gallon welded pedesphere elevated storage tank.

This project includes the Near-White Metal Blast-Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2) and coating of interior wet tank surfaces using a three-coat system that consists of one coat of zinc primer followed by two coats of polyamide epoxy.

This project also includes the Power Tool-Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3) and Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), as well as the coating of interior dry tank surfaces using an epoxy coating system.

This project includes the Commercial Blast-Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3) and coating of exterior tank surfaces using a four-coat zinc/epoxy/polyurethane/fluoropolymer coating system.
