Bids Open for New CA Fire Facility
The City of Clovis, California is soliciting bids for demolition of an existing fire station and construction of a new facility.

Scope of Work
This project involves construction and site work for a new Clovis Fire Station No. 2 in Clovis, California.
Exterior work involves application of a three-coat system of latex on plaster, concrete, wood, aluminum and masonry substrates; and a three-coat system of latex and polyurethane on ferrous metal substrates. Specified concrete masonry substrates will require application of a single-coat system of siloxane.
Interior work is scheduled to include aplication of a three-coat system of latex on gypsum board, wood, ferrous metal, galvanized metal, plaster, concrete, brick, stucco and drywall surfaces; and a three-coat system of latex and epoxy on ceramic tile.
Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3) and Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2).
The owner-specified manufacturers for this project are Dunn-Edwards, Fuller O’Brien, ICI, Sherwin-Williams and Tnemec, or an approved equal.
