Announced via an emailed press release, the new physical test depth gauge is used for measuring the thickness of open and closed cell foam. The gauge will better allow commercial roofing contractors and spray polyurethane applicators to test the depth of the foam while being applied on a roof substrate.

Gardco shares that the new tool is also designed for measuring the depth of fireproofing, also known as spray fire resistive material (SFRM), to ensure consistent depth from one area to another.

The depth gauge itself is made of durable plastic and weighs only one pound. The gauge can read depths up to 5 3/4 inches and features an easily adjustable stainless-steel pin and easy-to-read numbers.
