Bidding Opens for FL Construction Project


The Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Authority is soliciting bids for the construction of a new Commercial Redevelopment Agency (CRA) building in Delray Beach, Florida.

The submittal date for this project is Oct. 21.

Scope of Work

This project involves construction and painting of the Delray Beach CRA Development in Delray Beach, Florida.

Exterior work involves a three-coat system of latex on concrete, cementitious siding, non-roof shingles, brick stucco, drywall and gypsum board substrates. A two-coat system of polyurethane will be required on steel luminaires.

Interior work is scheduled to include a three-coat system of latex on unglazed brick, and concrete walls and ceilings. A single-coat system of epoxy will also be required on specified concrete surfaces.

Surfaces will require preparation in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 5/NACE No. 1), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE No. 4) and Pickling (SSPC-SP 8).

The owner-specified manufacturers for this project are Sherwin-Williams, Sto Corp. and Textured Coatings of America.
