Valspar Launches Color-verse Web Experience
Paints and coatings brand Valspar, from The Sherwin-Williams Company’s Consumer Brands Group, announced earlier this month that it had launched a new virtual web experience within the Metaverse.
Dubbed the Valspar Color-verse, the interactive virtual house showcases the company’s 2023 Colors of the Year announcement by letting users experiment with the colors and play a hyper-casual game called “Dash to DIY.”
Set up as a 3D digital home, visitors are encouraged to take inspiration from the experience and use the colors in their own homes. In the Color-verse, users can experience the 12 featured colors firsthand by navigating the platform. The experience aims to promote inspiration for new DIY projects.
How it works is, once in the Color-verse, visitors can roam through pre-designated checkpoints throughout the 3D home. On several occasions, users are given the option to customize various aspects of the interior and create their own artwork as well.

In total, the platform features three options to navigate and interact with:
“We're thrilled for Valspar to offer customers an unparalleled virtual experience to explore our Colors of the Year. Through the Color-verse, visitors can experience the 12 Colors of the Year firsthand in a way unlike Valspar has ever done before,” said Gus Morales, Vice President of Brand Marketing, Sherwin-Williams.
“Aside from exploring the 12 Colors of the Year, the home is an engaging space for visitors to create art and play games and encourages visitors to order color chips to see how their top color picks look and feel in their home.”
