Sherwin-Williams Completes Acquisition of Dur-A-Flex
At the beginning of the month, it was reported via emailed press release that global coatings firm The Sherwin-Williams Company’s acquisition of Connecticut-based resinous flooring manufacturer Dur-A-Flex, Inc. had been completed.
The acquisition officially went into effect on July 1.
According to the announcement, Dur-A-Flex brings more than 55 years of resinous flooring expertise and several industry-leading coating technology systems, such as its Poly-Crete cementitious urethane concrete coatings, Accelera polyurea performance topcoats and fast-cure methyl methacrylate (MMA) systems.
With the acquisition, the companies write they are confident that the combination will provide additional value and a stronger level of service for resinous flooring projects.
In addition to expanded access to an enhanced product portfolio and specification position, the combined organizations will bring a formidable mix of industry subject matter expertise and dedicated R&D and sales teams.
Sherwin-Williams plans to enhance the delivery of the combined technologies through its distribution platform, integrated lead generation capabilities and specification-driving project development team.
