Contractors Wanted for VA Fire Station
The City of Richmond is soliciting bids for the demolition and rebuild of a fire station building and garage in Richmond, Virginia.
The submittal date for this project is June 7.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on May 18 at the project site.
Scope of Work
This project involves painting and renovations to Fire Station #12 in Richmond, Virginia.
Exterior work involves a three-coat system of latex on zinc-coated metal, gypsum board and concrete surfaces. A three-coat system of zinc-rich primer, epoxy and urethane is required on ferrous metal surfaces.
Interior work is scheduled to include a three-coat system of latex and epoxy on concrete surfaces, and a three-coat system of latex on ferrous metal, zinc-coated metal, gypsum board, and specified concrete walls and ceilings.
Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 5/NACE No. 1), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3) and Pickling (SSPC-SP 8).
