Contractors Needed for MN Water Tank Improvement
The City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, on behalf of the Saint Paul Regional Water Services, is currently seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of the one-million-gallon Ferndale Water Tower.
Bids are due May 11. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled to take place on May 3.
Scope of Work
This project involves the rehabilitation of a one-million-gallon fluted column elevated water tower.
This project includes the abrasive blast-cleaning of tank interior wet surfaces using the standards associated with Near White (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2), and then coating with a zinc/epoxy system.
The project also includes the abrasive blast-cleaning of interior dry surfaces to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), and coating applications using either a zinc/epoxy/epoxy system or an epoxy/epoxy system where partial painting is required.
The project includes surface preparation of concrete (SSPC-SP 13) tank surfaces. The exterior surface will be coated using a zinc/epoxy/urethane coating system.

Dehumidification is required for this project.
