Contractors Wanted for CT Pool Improvements
The City of Middletown is soliciting bids for improvements to the Veterans Memorial Park Pool in Middletown, Connecticut.
The submittal date for this project is April 21.
Scope of Work
This project involves painting and renovations to an existing pool, surrounding deck and bathhouse at the Veterans Memorial Park.
Exterior work involves a two-coat system of block filler and latex on concrete masonry units, a three-coat system of epoxy and urethane on steel and galvanized metal substrates and a two-coat system of latex on exterior trim.
Interior work is scheduled to include a three-coat system of alkyd and latex on steel surfaces, and a three-coat system of latex on galvanized metal, gypsum board and concrete masonry units. A three-coat system of alkyd is required on opaque wood surfaces.
Surfaces are to be cleaned and prepared according to standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), Near White Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2), Surface Preparation and Cleaning of Cleaning of Metals by Waterjetting Prior to Recoating (SSPC-SP 12/NACE No. 5), Concrete Surface Preparation (SSPC-SP 13/NACE No. 6) and Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 16).
