Contractors Needed for Water Tank Coating
The City of Saline in Michigan is currently seeking contractors for the repair of a 250,000-gallon spheroid tank.
Bids are due March 24.
Scope of Work
This project involves the exterior overcoating and dry interior partial repainting of a 250,000-gallon spheroid tank.
The project includes the pressure water cleaning of exterior surfaces, spot power tool cleaning to bare metal (SSPC-SP 11/NACE No. 1) and application of a two-coat aluminum alkyd system.
This project will also include abrasive blast-cleaning of the dry interior tops of platforms, the entire bowl and various spot failures. The blasting is to be carried out to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), followed by an application of a two-coat epoxy system or a two-coat aluminum alkyd coating system to the prepared surfaces.
This project includes abrasive blast-cleaning of pit piping to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3) and an application of a two-coat epoxy system.
The project also includes water cleaning of foundation with the application of a two-coat epoxy system.
This project requires the installation of a cathodic protection system.
