Carboline Celebrates 75-Year Milestone
At the beginning of the month, global coatings, linings and fireproofing manufacturer Carboline Company (St. Louis) announced that it is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
“Two thousand twenty-two marks our 75th Anniversary, an accomplishment we are tremendously proud of. For 75 years, Carboline has been solving some of the industry's most challenging problems,” remarked Company President, Chris Tiernay.
“We remain committed to the idea that there is always a solution. On behalf of our employees worldwide, vendor partners, and customers, we look forward to the next 75 years.”
Carboline was founded in 1947 by Stanley Lopata, who developed a product to solve a problem for a single customer. According to the company, after 75 years, solving problems for customers remains its focus.
According to the release, Carboline products have been used on projects like NASA’s Cape Canaveral Launch Station and Olympic Stadiums, as well as countless museums, stadiums, refineries, power plants, water tanks and marine vessels. The company touts more than 500 products for brands including Bitumastic, Carboguard, Carboquick, Carbozinc, Firefilm, Phenoline, Plasite, Polyclad, Pyrocrete, Pyroclad, Reactamine, Sanitile, Thermaline, Thermo-Lag and more.
Over the years, the company has grown to over seven research facilities, 20 manufacturing facilities and hundreds of warehouses.
To celebrate its anniversary, Carboline plans to hold several events throughout 2022. These events are expected to include both employees and customers in its celebration, including “75 Ways to Give Back” and “75 Red Buckets of Surprises.”
For “75 Ways to Give Back,” employees across the globe will volunteer in their community and share their experience. “75 Red Buckets of Surprises” asks customers to send in their Carboline stories for a chance to receive one of the company's signature red buckets, filled with Carboline-branded items. Submissions for testimonials are currently open through Oct. 31.
