New Product Announcement: Sustainable Resins

In a recent press release, global market leader in photoinitiators, IGM Resins, announced the launch of its sustainability brand: PureLine.

Reported to be the home for all sustainable IGM Resin products, the new PureLine brand is also the company’s latest pillar in its sustainability strategy to help the UV industry shape a better future.

IGM Resins reports that some examples of key elements that could be included in the PureLine portfolio are:

  • Improving the carbon footprint of our products by using sustainable raw materials and processes;
  • Waste and energy reduction by using our planet’s valuable resources responsibly and optimizing our energy efficiency and water consumption; and
  • Responsible management of harmful substances, for example by ensuring they don’t end up in our environment and by eliminating non-intentional substances such as PCBs.

Chemical identities already listed in the brand include monofunctional monomers, tri- and higher functional monomers, methacrylates, epoxy acrylates, polyester acrylates and polyeather acrylates.
