FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2021

Paint and coatings manufacturer Benjamin Moore revealed its 2022 Color of the Year earlier this week, with a color that it says “quietly anchors while encouraging creative expression through color.”

October Mist 1495 is described as a gently shaded sage that aims to serve as a stem for the Color Trends 2022 palette, where customers’ imagination can "blossom."

“As the spaces in our homes continue to evolve, we uncover more opportunities to express our individuality and leverage the power of color to design environments that serve different functions and styles,” said Andrea Magno, Benjamin Moore Director of Color Marketing & Development.

“October Mist 1495 and the corresponding Color Trends 2022 palette reflects an effortless harmony of colors, while inspiring unique combinations for any paint project.”

Benjamin Moore says that the hues in the palette were chosen for their “diverse, reliable yet whimsical and meditative yet eclectic” properties. From refreshed primary colors to luminous pales and botanical hues, the Color Trends 2022 palette includes the following 14 colors:
