TPC Offers Underwriting for CCC Attendees
Next month, Technology Publishing Company will officially expand its realm of Connect hosted-buyer events as it kicks off the inaugural Commercial Contractor Connect, exclusively for the commercial painting industry.
The event will bring together a curated group of the nation’s top commercial buyers (painting contractors) and executives from commercial supply companies for networking, recreation and industry education—all expenses paid— at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Coast, Florida.
That’s right, a select group of contracting company decision makers will have their guest participation 100% underwritten by TPC. With delegate input, the conference host will arrange and pay for travel, ground transportation, meals and activities while at Commercial Contractor Connect.
Hosted in conjunction with the Commercial Painting Industry Association’s CPIA Leadership Conference, the full event will take place Oct. 19-22.
From Oct. 19-21, CPIA conference delegates and Contractor Connect event attendees will be invited to enjoy an afternoon of oceanside golf, deep-sea fishing or a guided kayaking ecotour, followed by cocktail receptions, panel discussions and presentations on best practices, new technology and emerging trends in commercial painting. From Oct. 21-22, Contractor Connect guests will join supply-company executives for exclusive activities and meetings to discuss new developments, project solutions and product advances.
How to Qualify
Contractor Connect attendees are those who purchase coatings, equipment, supplies and services for their commercial painting contractor business. Time is running out for those interested in attending:
While any registrant can attend the CPIA conference, only CCC event attendees must be approved. Once approved to attend the event, registrants are welcome to bring a significant other at their own cost. It is not uncommon for delegates to bring partners, as their guests are also invited to participate in all meals and activities.
In a relaxed and beautiful resort setting, buyers and suppliers will get to know one another through a variety of rewarding activities.

The intimate size of the event and the various networking activities enable all delegates to develop enhanced relationships with fellow participants. Past attendees say they have made some of their most valued contacts at Contractor Connect.
A few of the event’s current sponsors include The Sherwin-Williams Company, McBrayer & Associates, Benjamin Moore, Purdy Professional Painting Tools, The Wooster Brush Company, Titan, Uniflex and Graco. Here's what a past sponsor had to say:
"We didn’t think we needed help to talk to customers, but Contractor Connect was more cost-effective than doing our own event,” said Doni Riddle, recently retired Senior Vice President of Technology and Integration at The Sherwin-Williams Company. “We gained valuable insight on what was important to the contractor, strengthened relationships and learned about new opportunities. We’ve sponsored every year since.”
One of the key attributes of Commercial Contractor Connect is the intimacy of the event. Suppliers in the commercial coatings industry are offered exclusive opportunities to participate as sponsors, building relationships with current and prospective customers in fun and productive ways.
Interested suppliers have the option of becoming a Platinum or Silver sponsor. Details regarding these supporting sponsorships and their benefits can be found here. Ancillary sponsorship opportunites can be found here.
Schedule and Updates
Recreational activities will begin Monday, Oct. 19 at noon, so participating guests will want to arrive the night before or early Monday morning to settle in before joining the fun.
