Contractors Needed for Tank Rehab Project in MN

The City of Saint Paul/Ramsey County in Saint Paul, Minnesota is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate three water tanks.

Bids are due Oct. 5.

Scope of Work

This project involves the rehabilitation of one 1-million-gallon fluted pedestal tank, one 1.5-million-gallon steel elevated water tank and one 1-million-gallon steel elevated water tank.

Contractors will perform abrasive blast-cleaning on interior surfaces to Near White (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No.2) standards, followed by the application of a three-coat zinc-epoxy-polyamide coating system.

Interior dry tank surfaces are to be cleaned using the standards associated with Power Tool Cleaning to Bare Metal (SSPC-SP 11), followed by application of a two-coat system of epoxy-polyamide.

The project includes the use of cathodic protection systems.
