Bids Sought for AR Standpipe, Tank Rehab

Cabot WaterWorks is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate a standpipe and elevated storage tank in Cabot, Arkansas.

Bids are due July 20.

Scope of Work

This project involves coating and rehabilitating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 80,000-gallon standpipe and a 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10). The interior surfaces will be coated with a hydro-zinc primer, polyamide epoxy intermediate, surfacing epoxy and polyamide epoxy finish coat.

The exterior surfaces will be abrasive blast cleaned to Brush-Off Blast-Cleaning Standards (SSPC-SP 7). All failed exterior surfaces will require blasting by Commercial Standards (SSPC-SP 6). The exterior surfaces will be coated with a hydro-zinc primer, aliphatic acrylic polyurethane intermediate and an advanced thermoset solution fluoropolymer finish coating. Logos will also be coated using an advanced thermoset solution fluoropolymer finish.

Current coating contains lead, so containment and disposal are required.

The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec.
