PA Water Tower Repainting Project Out for Bid
Adams County is currently seeking contractors to recoat the Prison Tank in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Bids are due Aug. 11.
Scope of Work
This project involves coating and repairing the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 400,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.
Contractors will clean the interior wet surfaces to Bare Metal Power Tool standards (SSPC-SP 11) and coat with a polyamidoamine epoxy system.
The interior dry surfaces are required to be Hand- or Power-Tool cleaned (SSPC-SP 2/SSPC-SP 3) and coated with a phenalkamine epoxy mastic system.
The exterior surfaces will be Low-Pressure Water cleaned (SSPC-SP WJ-2/NACE WJ-4) and Hand- or Power-Tool cleaned (SSPC-SP 2/SSPC-SP 3). The exterior surfaces will be coated with a phenalkamine epoxy mastic primer and aliphatic acrylic-polyurethane finish coating.
The owner-approved coating manufacturers is Tnemec.
