AIA Announce Launch of New Conference

MONDAY, MAY 3, 2021

The American Institute of Architects recently announced the launch of a new multi-event that aims to bring manufacturers and architects together.

The virtual “Smarter Together Series” is slated for June 2, 3, 8 and 10 and aims to provide “inspirational leadership insights and tactical, pragmatic tools based on assessment of the construction ecosystem, analysis of architecture practice, adaptation of marketing strategies, and alignment of organizational values.”

“We are committed to transforming our relationship with the building products industry by providing the kind of value they deserve from AIA,” said AIA EVP/Chief Executive Officer Robert Ivy, FAIA.

 “Our belief is that this event is a starting point for helping the industry find pathways to support architects and become strategic partners in creating a more sustainable and equitable built environment for all people.”

Programming for the event will focus on a range of topic areas over four days, including:

  • June 2 - Assessing the state of the construction ecosystem;
  • June 3 - Analyzing the evolution of architectural practice;
  • June 8 - Adapting new strategies for sales and marketing excellence; and
  • June 10 - Aligning corporate values to drive new business value.

AIA notes that it is presenting this event to support its new Smarter Together Campaign, which aims to strengthen ties between the building products industry and the architecture profession.
