Technology Publishing Co.’s PaintSquare Connect, the virtual event that brought together experts throughout the coatings industries at the end of 2020, has announced a new webinar covering 2021 outlooks for the protective and marine coatings industry.

2021 Industry Outlook Webinar

Entitled “Industrial Coatings: 2021 Market Outlook,” the free webinar will premiere on March 3, 10 a.m. ET, and will be presented by Brion Palmer, CEO, TPC, and moderated by Jim McBrayer, CEO, McBrayer and Associates.

Although the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has continued to keep coatings professionals from meeting up in person, a panel of coatings executives from Sherwin-Williams, Carboline, Induron and Tnemec will be available to viewers, live online, to discuss a wide range of topics during the presentation, including:

  • Business—now and after the threat of COVID-19 ends;
  • Market segments that offer growth opportunities;
  • The status of supply-chain and product availability;
  • New technologies; and
  • Key attributes when selecting and buying a coating system, among others.

Attendees of the webinar will also be asked to participate in contributing to the event’s dialogue through an interactive polling tool. Examples of poll topics could include:

  • Biggest current challenge or frustration to their business;
  • Impact COVID-19 had on their business in 2020;
  • 2020 issues on receiving products;
  • Attributes in selecting coating technology; and
  • Where do they see opportunities to grow business in 2021 and beyond, among others.

This webinar is aimed for coatings contractors, buyers, asset owners, facility managers, engineers, architects and shipyard managers.

Those interested in attending may register for free, here.

About the Presenters, Panelists

Jim McBrayer, CEO, McBrayer and Associates, started his career in outside sales for PPG. His claim to fame as a salesperson is selling the largest account in the company’s history. After rising to sales director, responsible for 150 sales representatives and a dozen regional sales managers, and being appointed to PPG’s sales leadership team, McBrayer left PPG after 20 years, in 2009, to pursue his passion of helping others optimize their sales effectiveness by launching his own sales training company, McBrayer & Associates. McBrayer developed the company to help organizations in the painting and coatings industry exceed their revenue goals in three different ways: sales training, one-on-one coaching (for sales reps and managers) and consulting. The foundation of all three of these is customizing sales collateral content that resonates with their customer segments.

PaintSquare Connect

The three-day event took place Nov. 10-12 and was co-sponsored by Sherwin-Williams, CarbolineFinishing First (Powered by LMCI) and McBrayer & Associates.

In replacing traditional panel discussions and aiming to serve a broader audience than the company's in-person Contractor Connect events, PaintSquare Connect’s three-day program offered a track-specified curriculum, complete with a variety of sessions and presentations that have since been uploaded to the event website.

The curriculum, which was co-sponsored by 10X Engineered Materials and PPG, was segmented into concurrent tracks:

The recorded education sessions will remain online until May 31, 2021.

Additionally, new and current registrants still have access to the Product Pavilions as well, where they can continue to browse the latest offerings and innovations from leading companies and can even request a callback or schedule a meeting within the online booths.

The PaintSquare Rewards Program is also continuing to keep track of previously accumulated and current activity logs of new and old registrants until May 31, 2021. TPC has selected winners based on the largest volume of accumulated points, starting with a Grand Prize for the top earner, Second Prize for the next highest earner and so on. Ten prizes were awarded directly after the event’s conclusion, and 10 have been slated to be awarded over the next six months.

If you were not registered for the live PaintSquare Connect event and would like access to the archived sessions, you may complete your free registration by visiting the PaintSquare Connect registration page, here.
