CA Seeks Bids for Tank Rehabilitation
The City of El Monte is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate an existing Water Tank in El Monte, California.
Bids are due Dec. 21.
Scope of Work
This project involves rehabilitating and coating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 1 million-gallon ground water storage tank.
Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior surfaces to Near White Metal Standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will be coated with an epoxy system.
The exterior of the tank will be abrasive blast cleaned to Near White Metal Standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The exterior surfaces will be coated with an epoxy-urethane system.
The work also includes installing a cathodic protection system.
Dehumidification is required.
The owner-approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec, International and Devoe.
