Bids Sought for KS School Paint Job

The Topeka Unified School District No. 501 in Topeka, Kansas, is seeking bids for the painting of Topeka High School.

The submittal date for this project is Dec. 7.

Scope of Work

This project involves the painting of a high school in Topeka, Kansas.

In this project, all exterior wood surfaces will be coated using a three-coat system made up of one coat of acrylic primer followed by two coats of acrylic-latex. All metal surfaces in this project are to be coated using a three-coat system, with a galvanized metal primer and two coats of alkyd enamel.

All interior plaster shall be coated using a three-coat system made up of one coat of latex primer followed by two coats of acrylic-latex. Interior wood surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system consisting of one coat of stain and two coats of varnish. Interior metal surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system of one coat of primer, one alkyd undercoat, and one finish coat.

The brands specified for this project are PPG, Pratt & Lambert and Sherwin-Williams.
