PPG Launches VirtualTECH Tool

Recently, global coatings manufacturer PPG (Pittsburgh) announced that it had launched a new virtual technical service for its PPG Protective and Marine Coatings customers.

The PPG VirtualTECH tool arrives as a response to social distancing and safety guidelines in relation to COVID-19 and provides customers with a platform to meet with PPG’s technical service team.

When using the virtual tool, customers can base their assistance needs through:

  • Project Start-Ups: focuses on starting a new project or new phase of a project using PPG products;
  • Routine Project Inspections: using a step-by-step walk through assist with inspections such as surface preparation, primer, intermediate or finish coat applications and environmental condition review;
  • Troubleshooting: customers can schedule a virtual visit where PPG experts can assist to identify exact areas of trouble in the project; and
  • Best Practice Training: customers can schedule a virtual visit where they, along with their project teams, can be educated on best practices involving specific applications and products, among other topics.
