CSHA Postpones Tradeshow, Demo Day
In an emailed press release, the Coating Society of the Houston Area announced Tuesday (March 17), that the annual CSHA Tradeshow and Demo Day have been postponed.
The organization believes that the decision is the best practice option regarding the health and safety of slated attendees during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“With growing safety and health concerns, schools being shut down until late April, restaurants and other public spaces closing their doors, we felt this was the best decision to be made at this time,” wrote CSHA President Rachel Herrington.
“We want this tradeshow and the experience our guests and exhibitors have to be the best one possible, and we just no longer think that would be the case if we pushed forward with having it in April.”
Previously, the tradeshow and demo were scheduled to take place on April 3 at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Herrington reports that CSHA is currently looking to reschedule the event on June 26, adding that SSPC has been notified and is on board with its decision. However, this date has not been officially verified.
CSHA intends to release further information on the event as it becomes available and asks everyone to stay safe during the pandemic.
Coatings Competition Postponed
Earlier this week, CSHA also announced the postponement of its Painters Competition as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the announcement, the organization hopes to reschedule the competition sometime in the fall, however, an exact date is still pending.
