Free Webinar: SSPC QP 1, QP 2 Changes
Changes to SSPC QP 1 and QP 2 and the impact they have on contractors is the topic up for discussion in today’s webinar on PaintSquare. The webinar, which is free, will run from 11 a.m. to noon EST.
Sponsored by ABKaelin, LLC, the webinar will review this year’s changes to these SSPC standards, as well as highlight the changes between the 2019 and previous-year versions of the standards. Attendees will ultimately be able to understand the potential impacts on staff qualifications, training, responsibilities and subcontractor management.
Webinar presenter and ABKaelin Principal Alison B. Kaelin is a contributing editor for JPCL and has written more than 50 articles, as well as two book chapters for ASTM publications related to coatings. Kaelin’s career also includes time as the principal technical editor and co-author of the FHWA Hazardous Bridge Coatings: Design and Management of Maintenance and Removal Operations Course, and was the principal technical editor and is a principal instructor of the original and updated SSPC C3 and C5 courses.
Kaelin has a bachelor’s of engineering in civil and environmental from Vanderbilt University. She was employed as an air pollution supervisor with the Allegheny County Health Department Bureau of Air Pollution Control, where she was responsible for permitting, monitoring and enforcing regulations applicable to abrasive blast-cleaning projects.
