PPG Appoints New Industrial Vice President

Industrial Segment Appointment

Previously, King served as vice president, global supply chain, for multi-billion-dollar agricultural products company Nutrien. In his time with that company, he was responsible for manufacturing, environmental health and safety, integrated business planning, transportation and distribution, among other responsibilites.

In 2012, King joined Agrium—later renamed Nutrien on the heels of a merger in 2018—as vice president for the company’s nitrogen operations and services segment. Prior to this, King spent the first 18 years of his career with Celanese, starting as an engineer and gradually working his way through leadership roles, eventually serving as the general manager for the company’s Nanjing, China, site, the largest multi-business manufacturing complex for the company.

King has a bachelor’s of science in chemical engineering from Texas Tech and an executive master of business administration from Texas Woman’s University.
