Elcometer Appoints New R&D Director


Inspection and blast equipment manufacturer Elcometer Ltd. (Manchester, United Kingdom) announced on Wednesday (Nov. 6) via emailed press release the appointment of Paul King as the company’s new Research and Development Director.

“It’s great to be joining the Elcometer team,” said King. “With such an impressive range of products and depth of expertise, I’m proud to be part of the Company mission going forward.”

With more than 17 years of leadership experience with global companies, King’s career–-a large part of which was spent with Nokia—spans working with mechanical engineering and technology groups. During his time at Nokia, King became the Director of Mechanics Technology. Shortly after, he transferred into a position with Microsoft to full the role of Concepting Director.

In his role with Elcometer, King will manage the activities in the research and development department, facilitating how the company provides technology to customers around the world.

“I am delighted that Paul has joined us,” said Michael Sellars, Managing Director. “Paul brings a wealth of experience and valuable knowledge to the team and I am confident he will build on the expertise of our R&D department.”

In business for 70 years, Elcometer focuses on providing innovative products, and in 2018, expanded its product range to include blast equipment, which was developed in tandem with Blast Equipment Limited.
