Nominations Open for Tank of the Year Contest
Nominations have officially opened for Tnemec’s 2019 Tank of the Year contest, an annual competition that features innovative uses of the company’s coatings on water tank projects.
According to the company, all tank styles are eligible. The nomination deadline is Oct. 1, and submissions can be sent by visiting tnemec.com/tankoftheyear.
The dates for the rest of the contest include:
“We look forward to another great year of recognizing the creative and innovative uses of Tnemec coatings on water storage tanks,” said Randy Moore, Director of Sales—Agency Development and Industry Affairs for Tnemec.
“It’s amazing how the contest has grown during the past decade; it has become a great way to showcase what’s going on in the water tank industry.”
Last year’s winning entry featured two water tanks painted with nearly identical murals, located in Katy, Texas. (The 2018 contest saw 273 nominated for participation.)
“To help keep these tanks shining for years to come, an advanced fluoropolymer coating system, featuring Series 700 HydroFlon, was selected to provide the exterior design with unprecedented color and gloss retention,” Moore said.
