NACE to Offer Surface Preparation Workshop

Corrosion control organization NACE International is hosting a Surface Preparation Workshop from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 30, in Pasadena, Texas.

The NACE Surface Preparation Workshop aims to educate attendees on the importance of surface preparation for any coatings job, according to NACE.

Corrosion control organization NACE International is hosting a Surface Preparation Workshop from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 30, in Pasadena, Texas.

The one-day workshop brings together professionals from the Gulf Coast area to share their experience on topics including:

  • Surface cleaning and finishing;
  • Types of abrasives/blast media and abrasive blasting methods;
  • Surface preparation and testing equipment;
  • Procedures; and
  • Health and safety.

NACE notes that those who benefit from this workshop include:

  • Coating applicators, inspectors and contractors;
  • Manufacturers of surface preparation equipment; and
  • People getting into the coatings market.

Attendees are eligible to receive professional development credits and NACE also notes that registration includes lunch, breaks and access to technical presentations.

Three tiers of registration fees exist for NACE members and nonmembers, students, those who register in advance and those who register after the early-bird period, which ends May 2.
