Axalta Wood Releases 2019 Vibes Collection

Liquid and powder coatings supplier Axalta has announced its new edition of industrial wood coatings trends for its Axalta Wood Coatings business (High Point, North Carolina).

The new line, entitled “Wood Vibes: Terra,” is inspired by elements of nature with earth tones emerging in popularity throughout 2019, the company says, and is filled with colors that “exude empowerment and confidence and is composed of rich color palettes.”

The collection features eight palettes of varying hues, all running the gamut of colors found in nature.

The palettes include:

• Cozy Greige – Featuring five shades of gray/beige tones, this collection contrasts well with earthy materials such as wood, clay, marble and stone, according to Axalta, which notes that the “neutrality of gray and beige represent simplicity and fit effortlessly in any space.”
• Classic Blue – Featuring three tones that include a classic, mid-tone blue and an accenting pink, this palette “is crisp and fresh, especially in combination with other textures.”
• Pure Rose – Including three hues ranging from deep plum, to coral, to gray, these colors are combined to “create a playful combination to energize and brighten your space.”
• Flaming Red – Including four colors, this palette is considered mature and intense; a “sophisticated, powerful palette, combining the softness of dark gray with the richness of red.”
• Deep Cocoa – Bringing it back to three colors, this group is all brown/gold tones and offers a “nature-inspired vibe with a contemporary touch for homes.”
• Forest Green – Featuring five shades of varying greens and browns, this group invokes the look of plant life in the home and “brings a natural look to the environment appropriate for any season.”
• Navy Steel – Including three colors of blue-grays, this palette allows for a mixture of metallic surfaces, the company notes.
• Midnight Sky – Bringing it home for the collection, this palette includes three shades that combine natural wood with black tones, which Axalta calls the “perfect combination for any environment.”
