NRCA Announces Roofing Day Details

MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2019

The National Roofing Contractors Association will be coming together for its annual Roofing Day, scheduled for April 3-4. The organization invites its members to register for the event, hosted again in Washington, D.C.

This year, the NRCA plans to meet with Congress to deliver its message about legislative issues affecting the roofing industry. Some of these issues will include:

  • A robust buildings component for infrastructure legislation;
  • Immigration reform that meets the roofing industry’s workforce needs; and
  • Expanded workforce training incentives.

During last year’s event, more than 400 professionals from every aspect of the roofing industry came together to deliver a “one voice” message to Congress. This year, the NRCA hopes to increase that number.

With the importance for Congress to hear from every segment of the industry, roofing contractors, owners and managers are encouraged to bring one or more exceptional crew members to help share the voice.

Registration for the Roofing Day in D.C. 2019 is $75 for company representatives and $25 for roof-system installers. The hosting hotel is Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, and reservations can be made directly through them, with discount rates ending March 12.

In celebration of the annual event, the NRCA will be hosting a “We are Family” Raffle, sponsored by A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply. The raffle is open to all NRCA member companies and involves taking a group photo of all employees, or its “roofing family,” and submitting it for a chance to win.

While the event celebrates contractors and their quality of work, the NRCA members and staff also celebrate through making charitable contributions to various organizations and their communities. Members are invited to share their stories of charitable giving with the NRCA, which will be promoted through social media.

In addition to the charitable promotions, members are also encouraged to share their contributions to the roofing industry itself and experiences at National Roofing Week. You can “Share Your Story” by publishing photos on your social media platforms, tagging the NRCA and using the hashtag #nationalroofingweek. Since each day of week-long event has a specific theme on their social media campaign, here is this year’s plan:
