RCI Calls for Symposium, Convention Abstracts


Building envelope association RCI Inc. has put out a call for abstracts for its 2019 Building Envelope Technology Symposium and its 2020 International Convention and Trade Show.

The Symposium is slated to be held Nov. 11-12, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown in Louisville, Kentucky.

Topics for Symposium abstracts include Innovative technologies & practices, façade systems & technologies, unique façade design solutions, the building envelope as a design statement, energy conservation design and many others.

Abstracts of each paper should be about 200 words and are due April 18. The RCI Building Envelope Symposium Committee will review abstracts, and authors will be notified regarding acceptance by May 10. If accepted, papers should be received at RCI headquarters by July 12 for peer review.

The Convention is slated for March 26-31, 2020, at the Marriott Marquis Houston & George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

Topics for those papers should either focus on research testing, forensic investigation, materials performance, business, case studies or the environment.

Those abstracts should also be 200 words and are due May 17. Authors will be notified of acceptance by June 7, and if accepted, complete papers are due Aug. 30 for peer review.

RCI refers all potential submitters to review the complete instructions for both the Symposium and the Convention.
