Waves to Crash on Moscow Development

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2019

A crest of art is slated to adorn a high-rise complex in Moscow currently under construction, and along with it, several city skylines.

The Project

Developer Etalon Group, along with architecture firm SPEECH, is constructing the area with general contractor Kenmer in the southwest part of the city. The total complex will include nine residential buildings, plus commercial areas, a school and a park.

Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai’s “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa” will make its way onto the facades of five apartment buildings, with the silhouettes of several cities including New York City, Chicago, Barcelona and Monaco by its side on the nearby towers.

The front facade area of the development spans 60,000 square meters, and the entire development spans over 35 acres.

Construction of the campus is happening in two phases: the first will see three multi-sectional residential blocks constructed, and the second will include six high-rises, an underground parking garage and retail facilities.
