Webinar Investigates Technology for CUI Service
The details of how and why multipolymeric matrix paints perform at a level above and beyond earlier coating technologies for the mitigation of corrosion under insulation is the topic of PaintSquare’s next webinar, scheduled for 11 a.m. ET Thursday, Oct. 11.
In this presentation, Mike O’Donoghue, director of engineering and technical services for International Paint LLC, and Vijay Datta, director of industrial maintenance for International, will discuss how AAE technology simplifies coatings for use on carbon and stainless steel in both insulated and non-insulated service.
Accelerated laboratory and real-life exposure testing methods were both used to compare coating type performance with their earlier equivalents. The results will be presented as part of the webinar.
About the Presenters
O’Donoghue has 35 years of experience in the marine and protective coatings industry. He has been recognized as one of the top 25 thinkers of the past 25 years in the protective coatings industry, and along with Datta he has developed new products including an anti-slip coating for structural steel and an internal secondary containment for above-ground storage tanks using epoxy technology.
Datta has 49 years of experience in the marine and protective coatings industry. He recieved the Mortimer T. Harvey Award as the first person to commercialize phenalkamine curing technology in marine and protective coatings.
