Free Webinar: Nanotech in Coatings

Durability + Design will host a free webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 10, entitled: "Nanotechnology Applications Within the Protective Coatings Industry.”

In a presentation by Robert Leggat, Laboratory Services Manager at KTA-Tator Inc., attendees will learn about the benefits resulting nanotechnology such as weather-resistance, anti-graffiti, washability and anti-microbial functionality. Nanotechnology will be defined along with examples in nature along with a discussion of some of the environmental and health concerns that are limiting greater implementation of nanotechnology.

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize the basic concepts of nanotechnology and examples in nature;
  • Identify coatings applications including anti-graffiti, weather-resistance, washability, durability and anti-microbial;
  • Distinguish coating product performance attributes that are a result of nanotechnology; and
  • Appreciate environmental and health concerns limiting greater implementation of nanotechnology.
