New Single-Ply Roof Systems Unveiled

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 22, 2018

Materials company Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance (Beachwood, Ohio) announced on Monday (Aug. 20) that it has added two new products to its TremPly line.

The company says that the two new products, TremPly KEE and KEE FB (Fleeceback) are waterproof and easy-to-install. Both incorporate Ketone Ethylene Ester, a material that provides “superior flexibility to accommodate building movement, as well as resistance to harmful UV rays and chemicals.”

“Heavy duty reinforcement makes the systems extremely resistant to tears and punctures, and combines with maximum seam strength for durability and long-term performance,” according to the company. “Their additional resistance to fungus, algae and fire makes TremPly KEE systems one of the most sustainable roofing systems available.”

Both single-ply systems are available in mechanically attached or fully adhered configurations with seams fused with conventional hot-air welding.

They come in 45-mil and 60-mil thicknesses with a reflective white surface, though tan and gray are also available, and all colors can earn points toward LEED requirements. Both systems are available in conventional 74-inch or 100-inch wide by 100-foot-long rolls; customized, prefabricated roll widths and lengths are also available.
