Sanitized AG Forms New Coatings Business
Antimicrobial materials company Sanitized AC (Burgdorf, Switzerland) announced last week it is consolidating its paint- and coatings-related products into a new business, Sanitized Preservation AG, to be headed up by David Tierney, formerly of Lonza AG.
Sanitized Preservation will concentrate on antimicrobial protection for paints and coatings during production, when in storage and when in use, including in-can and dry-film preservation products. The company will also offer hygiene audits for production plants.
The company is working globally with coatings suppliers to provide antimicrobial treatment for paint products as well as general knowledge about regulatory matters related to antimicrobial coatings. The Sanitized Ingredient Brand, the company says, can be utilized on a supplier’s products, assuring consumers of the coatings’ antimicrobial components.
CEO Tierney was previously Global Business Director, Coatings, at Lonza AG.
“With over 30 years of experience in all areas of the international antimicrobial industry and his in-depth knowledge of the sector, he is the ideal choice for managing the newly founded Sanitized Preservation AG," said Urs Stalder, CEO of Sanitized AG.
Sanitized AG has been in operation since 1935, providing antimicrobial products and expertise.
