The exhibit floor at SSPC 2018 promises approximately 140 booths featuring information and demonstrations from exhibitors from every corner of the protective and marine coatings industry. The exhibit hall opens at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and remains open through 3 p.m. Thursday.
Coating and Blasting Suppliers
Coatings suppliers that will be exhibiting new developments and tried-and-true solutions include: protective coatings firm Carboline (booth 501); International Paint LLC, the North American protective and marine arm of AkzoNobel (1111-1113); Hempel (USA) Inc., (913-915); PPG Protective and Marine Coatings (1001/1003); The Sherwin-Williams Company (417, 719 and 516-518); Tnemec (525-527); Valentus Specialty Chemicals (107-109) and polyurea firm Versaflex (1106).

Surface preparation—from equipment to abrasives—will be well represented on the exhibit floor. Equipment suppliers signed up to show their wares include: abrasive blasting equipment firm Clemco Industries (807-811); Greener Blast Technologies (101-103); and waterblasting supplier Jetstream of Houston (1117-1121).
Suppliers of abrasives for blasting that will be on hand include: Abrasives Inc. (815-817); soda-blasting abrasive manufacturer Armex (705); Bellemare Group (1002); garnet media supplier GMA Garnet (1011-1013); Tru Abrasives (919-921), U.S. Minerals (800) and W Abrasives (632).
ARS Recycling Systems (730-732) and Atlantic Design Inc. (230-232) are among the blasting recycling equipment firms exhibiting at the show, while Van Air Systems will be on hand to discuss its compressed-air units.
Containment, Access and Safety
Any blasting and coating job requires certain access and containment equipment, and plenty of exhibitors will be showing their latest products in that realm. Safespan Platform Systems Inc. (122-127); Safway Services (207-213) and Sky Climber Access Solutions (113) will be present to discuss their scaffolding and access equipment, while tarp and containment suppliers such as Detroit Tarp (423), Eagle Industries (506-510) and Hippwrap Containment (625) will be exhibiting as well. Aggreko (923-925) will be on hand to show its selection of generators and climate-control units.
Safety equipment suppliers exhibiting include blasting protective equipment manufacturer Bullard (1023-1025). Spray equipment manufacturers including Sulzer Mixpac (1007) and Titan Tool (931-933) will be on hand as well.
Inspection equipment will be on display via manufacturers including DeFelsko (401-403); Elcometer (601-609); and Fischer Technology (416-418).
And a number of government and industry groups will be on hand with information as well: The Department of Defense Corrosion Policy and Oversight office (717) will be exhibiting, as will the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades and its Finishing Trades Institute. Also on the educational side of things is NCERCAMP, the National Center for Education and Research on Corrosion and Materials Performance, at the University of Akron (627).
