WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2017

Global coatings manufacturer Axalta Coating Systems (Philadelphia) has released Tufcote Protective Rail Car coatings, which are designed for protection in the industrial rail car and transportation sectors.

According to Michael Heineman, Vice President of Rail and High Performance Coatings for Axalta, rail car and transportation maintenance structures are built to last, which requires a durable finish to ensure their strength remains intact.

“Our new Tufcote line’s formulations and field proven technologies yield lasting results, improving the durability, protection and aesthetics of these substrates over time," he added.

According to Axalta, the coating is designed to protect against chemical and corrosion damage, as well as weathering and chipping. The railcar segment of the Tufcote line is ideal for use on railcars, steel storage tanks and heavy equipment.
