Coating Made for Paint Booth Protection

To protect paint booth components, Global Finishing Systems recently released Booth Shield, a peelable protective coating that is compatible with all types of booths and can be applied to walls, windows, lights and floors.

Booth Shield Peelable Translucent is a protective coating for white pre-coated steel booths, windows and lights; Booth Shield Peelable White, on the other hand, protects both galvanized and white pre-coated paint booths.

For walls, five gallons cover 1,925 square feet, and one gallon covers 385 square feet. For floors, one gallon covers 315 square feet.

GFS’s coating can be sprayed or rolled onto the surface, and can be built up to the appropriate thickness. One coat of Booth Shield is enough for most wall applications, according to the company, but two coatings are needed for floors that deal with heavy-duty traffic.

“Booth Shield dries quickly after application, allowing you to resume full use of your booth within a couple hours,” Mick Ramis, business unit manager at GFS.

Booth Shield also traps overspray, minimizes fire hazards that result from excess paint accumulation and can be peeled off walls and floors.

“GFS is excited to offer our customers a fast, easy solution for booth protection and overspray capture,” Ramis said.
