Portable Electrostatic System Made for Efficiency

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2017

The recently released Titan GM5000 Electrostatic System, combining the use of the GM5000 electrostatic gun and the AirCoat air-assisted airless sprayer, is designed to reduce material usage and overspray, according to the manufacturer.

The electrostatic gun implements electrical charges to ensure paint adheres to surfaces for complete coverage and less overspray. According to Titan, the GM5000 provides up to 35 percent higher transfer efficiency in comparison with conventional air or air-assisted spraying, which results in the reduction of material use. When compared with other electrostatic sprayers currently in its class, the GM5000 exhibits 20 percent higher transfer efficiency, the company says.

Designed to meet stringent safety standards, Titan’s GM5000 is safe to use with Class II solvent materials. Features include automatic voltage shutdown when not in use, high-voltage on/off control and an automatic error signal.

“Our new GM5000 Electrostatic System will quickly set higher productivity standards for portable electrostatic systems,” said Chris Noto, director of products for Titan. “Excellent transfer efficiency with essentially no overspray maximizes profits and productivity for contractors, saving material and reducing prep and surface area cleanup.”

Titan’s GM5000 is available in the U.S. and Canada, and the AirCoat assisted airless sprayer is available separately.
