Anti-Slip Epoxy Line Includes Heavy Duty Product
A new line of anti-slip epoxy floor coatings from Wooster Products Inc. (Wooster, Ohio) includes one product made specifically for harsh environments such as industrial facilities.
The Walk-A-Sured Water Clear Epoxy System is a two-component epoxy system that’s VOC-free and can adhere to a variety of substrates, including concrete, wood, metals, terrazzo, marble and glass, the company says.
The product, characterized by chemical, solvent and water resistance, comes in three grades: Barefoot 60, aimed for us in spas, showers and boats; Universal 40, for use in multipurpose indoor and outdoor areas; and Heavy Duty 20, for use in kitchens or industrial spaces.
The company notes that Walk-A-Sured’s coefficient of friction meets or exceeds OSHA Standard 1910.22, ADA Coefficient of Friction Guidelines and ASTM Specifications.
All formulas come in one-gallon pails with an approximate coverage of 150-175 square feet per gallon and a pot life of 15-20 minutes.
