MONDAY, JUNE 26, 2017

Benjamin Moore Paints recently announced its latest scuff-resistant coating, Ultra Spec SCUFF-X.

Designed to resist scuffmarks in high-traffic commercial environments, the one-component interior latex coating does not require much daily upkeep, and keeps a low profile. According to Benjamin Moore, Ultra Spec SCUFF-X has no strong odor, is pre-mixed and does not have a short pot life.

“Our proprietary scuff-resistant technology minimizes repainting, retouching and cleaning, while offering easy application, low odor and quick dry-time,” Alfredo Valiente, Benjamin Moore brand manager, said in a statement.

Ultra Spec SCUFF-X is recommended for use in commercial spaces such as: hallways, stairwells, lobbies, offices, gymnasiums, locker rooms, public restrooms and other areas. According to Benjamin Moore, the coating can withstand repeated washing, and has antimicrobial additives to inhibit the growth of mold and mildew.

The coating is low VOC, eligible for LEED v4 credit and is Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) certified.

Ultra Spec SCUFF-X is available in gallon and five-gallon pails, in more than 3,500 colors made by Benjamin Moore. The coating also comes in three finishes: Matte, Eggshell and Satin.
