Powder Coatings Line Gets Premium Pigments

Axalta Coating Systems (Philadelphia) has added two new colors to its Alesta AR400 palette, a line of architectural-grade powder coatings.

“We are very excited about debuting our new Alesta AR400 Axalta Silver and AR400 Bone White Pearl colors,” said Craig Dietz, Axalta Product Manager.

“Adding these beautiful coatings to our Alesta AR400 collection demonstrates our commitment to expanding our color offerings while maintaining durability and performance to meet our customers’ various needs.”

Both the Axalta Silver and Bone White Pearl pigments produce a smooth, metallic coverage that’s as abrasion and corrosion resistant as the rest of the AR400 line. According to the company, those architectural coatings contain “virtually no volatile organic compounds” or hazardous air pollutants, making them sustainable and environmentally conscious.

As with the entire AR400 line, the company notes, the Axalta Silver and Bone White Pearl meet or exceed the American Architectural Manufacturers Association AAMA 2604 standard for high performance organic coatings on aluminum extrusions and panels.
