WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7, 2017

Axalta Coating Systemsa global liquid and powder coatings supplier headquartered in Philadelphiarecently introduced two new high-solids epoxy primers for its construction, agriculture and earth-moving equipment markets.

The primers, Corlar 3.5 PR and Corlar 3.0 PR, were designed with durability and fast dry times in mind. Both of these primers are VOC-conforming, two-component, low HAPS productive, and provide chemical and corrosion resistance for many coating types, the company says.

Corlar 3.5 is intended for cyclic corrosion testing, while Corlar 3.0 is designed for salt spray applications. “Axalta’s two new Corlar primers are compatible with most coating types and are designed for mild to harsh corrosive environments,” says Eric Kwasnicka, Axalta product manager.

The new primers are part of Axalta's Corlar line of anti-corrosion coatings, which includes coatings for commercial transportation, general industrial, aviation and marine applications.
