Companies Partner for Wall Systems Line

Cladding, air barrier and panelization company Sto Corp. (Atlanta) has announced that it is pairing with two insulation suppliers to give customers some wall system flexibility.

Vendors Owens Corning and Dow will supply insulation options for Sto Corp.’s StoTherm ci XPS exterior wall system, giving potential buyers two options when choosing a durable, high-R-value, extruded polystyrene rigid foam insulation.

According to the company, the Sto Therm ci XPS is an integrated, continuous-insulation wall system with a fluid-applied StoGuard air and moisture barrier that is air-and-moisture controlled, thermally efficient and highly durable.

The system helps cut energy costs, reduces maintenance expenses and offers a variety of aesthetic choices, including a range of decorative and protective finishes.

The insulation board in this system, the company says, allows for a thinner wall design. Its low deflection value of L/240 enables lighter construction, which reduces overall weight and cost per square foot.

“We are pleased to have both Owens Corning and Dow as partners in providing a key component of our continuous insulation system,” said Brian Chang, Director of Product Marketing and Channel Management for Sto Corp. “The arrangement will be highly beneficial to our customers, who will now be able to specify which insulation vendor best meets their needs.”
