Free Webinar will Discuss Overcoating Aged Metal

Durability + Design will host a free webinar on Wednesday (May 10) entitled "Overcoating Aged Metal Panels: Providing Improved Aesthetics While Extending the Maintenance Cycle." Tnemec Company’s Jennifer Gleisberg and Cory Brown will discuss the benefits and procedures of overcoating aged metal cladding and roofing with a high-performance coating system.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss coil-coated roof and wall panels and why they are widely used;
  • Explain the generic types of overcoating options available for coil-coated roof and wall panels, including FEVE fluoropolymers;
  • Provide information on surface preparation and application requirements when overcoating; and
  • Introduce system (primer/intermediate/topcoat) options for overcoating previously coated roof and wall panels and learn through a showcase of case studies on roof and wall panels coated with high-performance coatings.

Participants of this webinar are eligible for one AIA LU-HSW credit.

About the Presenters

Gleisberg drives agency engagement and customer information as the inside sales manager for Tnemec’s Eastern region. She is involved with several industry organizations, such as the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Gleisberg is NACE Level I Certified, holds a CSI Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) designation and is also a USGBC Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate.

As Tnemec’s Vice President of Technical Services, Brown’s 20 years of industry experience help him ensure that contractors, engineers, architects and building owners understand product application procedures. Brown is a certified coating inspector with NACE International, and is active in the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC). Prior to his current position, Brown served as Director of Technology Integration, where he directed various departmental resources related to product research and development.
